Hi, and welcome!
I'm so happy to be starting this blog, and hope that it will be a great way to keep in touch with friends and family... and maybe amuse a few others along the way, too. :)
I hope to use these "pages" to share all of the things that inspire me, from fabulous food, to my latest fashion obsession, to decor, to motivational people and pretty words. Of course, I'll be chronicling my personal adventures, too... from the big events to the small stuff.
So, what better way to begin than with a few fun facts and questions?!
Eleven Fun Facts About Me
1. My little family consists of myself, my husband Steve, and our golden retriever girl, Layla Penelope.
2. Steve and I met when we were just 15 (me) & 17 (S), and the rest is history!
3. We adopted Layla from a shelter five years ago. Best. Decision. Ever. <3
4. I like to pretend that I'm a singer, and I sing ALL the time. On the couch, in the car, in the shower, in public, at the gym, and probably in my sleep. I also memorize lyrics really easily. My poor, sweet husband!
5. I like to name things, and construct personalities for inanimate objects (sometimes without knowing it). Example: My car's name is Ruby, and she's sassy.
6. I got my first speeding ticket this past Halloween. I was dressed as a nerd. Still got the ticket! Heartless cop.
7. I love traveling abroad, but I'd really love to see all 50 states.
8. I'm originally from Lancaster County, and nope, I'm not Amish. There's a certain calm that comes over me when I'm driving with the windows down, through the cornfields. Home.
9. I love being outside. Movies and naps are perfection on a rainy day, but I'm far too restless on the sunny ones.
10. I'm half Cuban, and half Irish. Love dancing, potatoes, tequila, beer, pale normally, tan easily. What can I say?
11. One of the great loves of my life is writing. I've kept a journal since I was eight years old, and I'm excited to practice my writing with the creative blogging outlet!

1. What is your profession? I'm a publicist, specifically for books and authors. My job affords me creativity, flexibility, and interaction with a lot of really great people! I'm lucky.
2. How would you describe your style? I'd say classic, but mixed with fun and fresh pieces. I live in jeans and boots in the winter, and dresses in the summer. Especially love: maxi dresses, diamond studs, rose gold, pops of color, and shoes, shoes, shoes.
3. What one make-up product can you not live without? One?! Hmmm... I'd have to say my Bare Minerals foundation. So natural and pretty, it's really all you need on most days.
4. If you could be besties with one celebrity, who would it be? Either Tina Fey, because she's hilarious... or Giuliana Rancic, because I love her outlook on life (and her closet!).
5. What is your dream vacation? I have many, but if there's one place to see before I die, it's Cuba.
6. What magazines do you subscribe to? Glamour. Also sneak a peak at hubby's GQ every now and then... I like to see how the male brain works!
7. If you could have a special talent {that you currently don't have} what would it be? Either singing (like, legit singing) or maybe photography
8. What is your favorite breakfast food? I could live on cereal.
9. If you could do anything, what is your dream job? Magazine editor, or writer. Or both.
10. What is the best piece of advice you've ever received, and who gave it to you? "Take care of each other" ...simple, but profound marriage advice from my momma.
