Cheapie Beauty Favorites

Happy Thursday! We're thisclose to the weekend. Can't wait!

In full disclosure, as I was showering today, I realized how much I love my Softsoap Coconut Body Scrub. I use it year round, but the scent is especially great for summer. It inspired me to do a quick post on cheapie beauty favorites. We all have those products that work like a charm every time and don't break the bank. Here are some of my faves:

^ Softsoap Body Butter Scrub {great scent, exfoliator, moisturizer}

^ Dove Deep Moisture Face Lotion w/ SPF 15 {scentless, UVA/UVB protection, non-greasy and no shimmer or anything like that!}

^ Covergirl Lash Exact mascara {Never get so many compliments as when I'm wearing this cheapie mascara!}

^ Burt's Bees lip balm {I apply some every night before bed for soft, moisturized lips in the a.m. - such a simple, pure formula}

^ Sally Hansen nail polish {I love my Essie and OPI, but this stuff is cheap and good. Fun colors and just as long lasting as the more expensive brands}

Want It! Wednesday & Late Weekend Recap

Ahhh, finally... back to Want It! Wednesday!

Let's be honest... we all wear a lot of sandals now that it's summer time. The perfect counterpart to the ever popular (and personal fave) maxi dress, flat strappy sandals are a must. Gone are the days of boring browns, plain patterns, and rubber. These days we have suede, patent, studs, and shine. This way, you can wear them to a summer wedding and still look dressed up (and dance a lot more!). :)

Anyway... it's a couple of days late, but thought I'd throw in a short Memorial weekend recap! It was such a gorgeous (but hot!!!) few days. Really felt like summer. On Saturday, we had my husband's law school graduation party at my in-laws' house. We rented a tent and had a ton of good food, summer drinks, fun music, and a great crowd. More people than I expected came, but the more the merrier! Steve definitely deserved the celebration in his honor. :) 

Saturday evening, Sunday, and Monday were spent relaxing with both of our families and having picnic after picnic. I swear I gained 5 pounds this weekend! My mom and I did a little shopping at Homegoods (aka, the most magical place on Earth), we read some magazines, hung out outside... you know, all the usual lazy summer activities.

Our Anniversary & A Look Back

Yesterday Steve and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary! The day was cloudy, very unlike the bright, warm day in 2010 that we officially became Mr & Mrs. I won't go on and on about the details of our day two years ago, but I absolutely WILL share some pictures. Who doesn't like wedding pictures? :)
