Tucker Travels - Part 1

Hi mon!

Hope ya'll had a great week. :) We just returned from our trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and I am slowly trying to ease myself back into reality. Our trip was beautiful - what a great way to celebrate our second wedding anniversary, as well as the hub's graduation from law school. Our resort was right on the water, and we totally lucked out with the views from our (huge!) balcony...ocean wherever we looked! Doesn't get any better than that. :)

We relaxed at our resort for the majority of our stay, but we did embark on one excursion to Dunn's River Falls in Ochos Rios. And I'm so glad we did! It was about a 2.5 hour drive each way, so we passed through a good part of the island. Personally, I think choosing an excursion far from the resort is a great thing, because it allows for the opportunity to see more of the place where you're visiting. We were able to see little towns, schools and school children coming and going in their uniforms, families, and LOTS of goats (they're everywhere in Jamaica...and apparently a delicacy...poor goats!). We also saw the school that the current fastest man in the world attended, Johnny Cash's residence, and a hill where part of "Cool Runnings" was taped. So fun!

Dunn's River Falls itself was quite the adventure! I knew we'd be climbing a waterfall, but you sort of picture going up some damp steps alongside the falls. ;) NOPE! When they say you will be climbing the waterfall, they mean you will be climbing the waterfall. I had calf cramps, full on water luges on my face, and loved every second. Definitely would recommend.

Enough chatting - now to the fun part! Tucker Travels, Part 1!
In Part 1, I wanted to share my vacation must-haves. We all have 'em... the staples, and the little luxuries that we can't live without while we're traveling. Here are some of mine:

I have (and love) Vera Bradley luggage - a  large suitcase and a smaller carry-on. Both have extendable handles and wheels that roll with ease across crowded airports, and the carry-on is made to slide over the handle of the large suitcase so you only need to wheel one piece. They're incredibly durable, and the best part is... you'll recognize your luggage from a mile away!

My iFlip is a MUST-HAVE. I admit I am sort of a paparazzi, and love to take tons of pictures of our experiences, but nothing really conveys your trip like a video. The hubby likes to take it in the ocean with him in a waterproof case, and we usually videotape our walks around the resort so we can always remember our stay.

Belle Hop Neck Pillow - mine is this one (pink), but they come in a variety of colors and animal prints and are a must for avoiding the "sleeping ugly"... you know, slumped over, drool... we've all been there.

Vaseline Aloe Fresh Hydrating Lotion - I use this on a day-to-day basis, even when I'm living normal life on dry land. :) But it's especially nice to bring on vaca, so you don't have to use those mystery hotel lotions. Love the subtle aloe scent!
Ahhh...Venus Tropical Disposable Razors. These are my favorite for many reasons, but they're great to bring on vacation to keep fuzz-free, and their tropical smell will remind you of vacation, even when you're back home!

So, those are a few of my musts. What are your vacation/travel must-haves? Do share!
PS- stay tuned for Tucker Travels, Part 2... pics from our trip!

xo, Jen
